Thanks, once again! I appreciate it. My asterisk is
started automatically on system bootup by the
init.d/asterisk script. Also, my /etc/zaptel.conf is
not empty. Why it is ignored, I don't know. It has
these lines in it:

#
# Define FXO port with FXS signaling
#

fxsks=4
loadzone=uk
defaultzone=uk

I do have to run /sbin/ztcfg -f to get this output
from 'cat /proc/zaptel/*':

Span 1: WCTDM/0 "Wildcard TDM400P REV I Board 1"

1 WCTDM/0/0
2 WCTDM/0/1
3 WCTDM/0/2
4 WCTDM/0/3 FXSKS

My question: Do I have to issue the 'ztcfg -f' command
each time system boots up?

Still, the original problem persists.

Thanks,

Jeng
